چکیده
Additive manufacturing (AM) has the potential to disrupt ceramic industry by offering new opportunities manufacture advanced components without need for expensive tooling, thereby reducing production costs and lead times increasing design freedom. Whilst development implementation of AM technologies in been slower than polymer metal industries, there is now considerable interest developing processes capable producing defect-free, fully dense components. A large variety can be used shape ceramics, but variable results have obtained so far. Selecting correct process a given application not only depends on requirements terms density, surface finish, size geometrical complexity part, also nature particular processed. This paper provides detailed review current state-of-the-art ceramics through systematic evaluation capabilities each technology, with an emphasis reported final finish mechanical properties. An in-depth analysis opportunities, issues, advantages limitations arising when processing technology provided.

Ceramic-Based 4D Components: Additive Manufacturing (AM) of Ceramic-Based Functionally Graded Materials (FGM) by Thermoplastic 3D Printing (T3DP)
In our study, we investigated the additive manufacturing (AM) of ceramic-based functionally graded materials (FGM) by the direct AM technology thermoplastic 3D printing (T3DP). Zirconia components with varying microstructures were additively manufactured by using thermoplastic suspensions with different contents of pore-forming agents (PFA), which were co-sintered defect-free. Different materia...

Additive manufacturing, covering processes frequently referred to as rapid prototyping and rapid manufacturing, provides new opportunities in the manufacture of highly complex and custom-fitting medical devices and products. Whilst many medical applications of AM have been explored and physical properties of the resulting parts have been studied, the characterisation of AM materials in computed...
متن کاملA Novel Extrusion-based Additive Manufacturing Process for Ceramic Parts
An extrusion-based additive manufacturing process, called the Ceramic On-Demand Extrusion (CODE) process, for producing three-dimensional ceramic components with near theoretical density is introduced in this paper. In this process, an aqueous paste of ceramic particles with a very low binder content (<1 vol%) is extruded through a moving nozzle at room temperature. After a layer is deposited, ...
